Los Angeles based-band Megasapien is made up of Lian Light from Magneto and Burke Thomas from Vendetta Red. The Seattle transplants embody the current sound heard around the Silverlake, mixing dense bass lines and crunchy guitar lines. Light's voice gives a sweet counterbalance to the thick sound that they produce.They're playing a few dates over the next few weeks, it's definitely one of the best things I've heard this year so I would highly recommend checking out their live show. They are playing TONIGHT at the Derby, so if you get a chance go out and show them love! Definitely one for fans of Silversun Pickups or Sonic Youth.
